John Heard - Cause Of Death is a Heart Attack

John Heard, who played the dad in "Home Alone" and someone we all know as Commander Gardner, Battlestar Pegasus new Commander after the death of Admiral Cain and Frisk, died in his California hotel room after suffering a heart attack brought on by heart disease, "a sudden cardiac death due to atherosclerotic and hypertensive heart disease.”

For us Battlestar Galactica Fans, we all knew him as Commander Gardner. In the episode "Captain's Hand", we saw a battlestar go up against the Cylons again. John Heard did a fine job as Commander Garner, portraying him as a good man who was out of his depth as a battlestar commander but had what it took to save his ship in the engine room.
